Do you always like to be on the winning side? Do you know that Christ-follower guys, gals and kids are right now and always will be on the winning side? Do you know that before God purposively positioned into an elliptical orbit an egg-shaped sphere – that was given the name of Earth, that God had already planned for the guys, gals and kids who are on His Christ-follower side to be the winners? What does it mean to you to be on the Christ-follower side? What does it mean to you to know that God – before He kicked off His creation project, had preprogrammed the Christ-follower side to be the winner? God captains the winning side. Satan captains the side that has already lost. The losing side is in denial that it has already lost. The losing side is still doing all that it can do to make the winning side think that it will eventually lose. The losing side has had a lot of practice implementing ways to make the winning side think that they will lose sooner or later. When God chose the Israelite people group guys and gals to be His specially chosen guys and gals, God put in motion His next set play towards the win that He already has over Satan, Satan’s cohort fallen angels and Satan’s minions. When the winning team took on worshipping in the land that God gave them to always have to live in as their very own land if . . . the same inanimate, manmade gods that their neighboring people groups of guys and gals were worshipping, God penalized His specially chosen guys and gals for their rebellious, aberrant behavior. God – in 722 B.C., had the Assyrian army overrun and conquer Israel’s northern kingdom – which was Israel, and to exile to the country of Assyria a good number of His specially chosen guys, gals and kids who had been living in Israel’s northern kingdom. God – in 586 B.C., had the Babylonian army overrun and conquer Israel’s southern kingdom – which was Judah, and to exile to the country of Babylonia a good number of His specially chosen guys, gals and kids who had been living in Israel’s southern kingdom. The losing side – which is being coached by Satan and that was represented first by the country of Assyria and then by the country of Babylonia, thought that their side had won both times but . . .
God – as the Christ-follower coach for the Israelite people group guys and gals – who are His specially chosen guys and gals, who were living both in Israel’s northern kingdom (Israel) and in Israel’s southern kingdom (Judah), God – as God the Father, had in place Isaiah – who was one of God’s Earth assigned prophet spokesmen, to witness the Assyrian army doing a number on Israel’s northern kingdom. Because God’s coaching assistant – Isaiah, knew why his Head Coach had the country of Assyria’s army do a number on His specially chosen guys and gals who had been living in Israel’s northern kingdom, Isaiah knew that because of the increasing disobedient, deviant behavior of the guys and gals who were living in Israel’s southern kingdom that it was a sure thing that God would – sooner than later, do a number on them – this time using the country of Babylonia’s army, just as He had done to the guys and gals who had been living in Israel’s northern kingdom. Instead of having His prophet spokesman – Isaiah, bitterly bemoan in his Isaiah Book why He devastatingly leveled on His specially chosen guys and gals who were living in Israel’s southern kingdom – which involved the land of Judah and the city of Jerusalem, God – as God the Father, through God – as God the Spirit, breathed on Isaiah what the final score would look like. God – as God the Father, through God – as God the Spirit, had Isaiah record in his Isaiah Book a victory song that God’s exiled specially chosen guys and gals were to sing when they were back in the land of Judah and in the city of Jerusalem – which would be right after God had the Mede and Persia armies put an end to the country of Babylonia’s 70 year empire. The victory song that God – as God the Father, through God – as God the Spirit, prompted Isaiah to include in his Isaiah Book is in Isaiah 26. This victory song is as apropos today as it was for God’s specially chosen guys and gals who returned to the land that God . . . the song gives the glory to the winning coach – Who is God. God will have proven Himself to His specially chosen guys and gals that He can be trusted, that He will make the way easier for them to seek Him, that He will have them yearn for Him, that He will keep holding His right hand high to smack down any guy or gal from the losing side who tries to oppress them, that He will give them a spirit of zeal, that He will have them honor Him alone, that He will enlarge their nation and that He will never forget them even though He had just taken them through a painful child birth type experience because of His wrath. The guys and gals who are on the winning side will know that God will humble the guys and gals who on are the losing side who have an active self-promoting pride spirit, that He will hold back His righteous grace from the guys and gals who are on the losing side because of their continuous wicked practices, that He will have the guys and gals who are on the losing side shamed for their lack of love and that He will cause the guys and gals who are on the opposing side to be dead.
Verse 3, “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” is a verse that your grandpaa will often write in a card that he and your grandmaa are sending to a kid who is graduating. Peace is a vowed reward that guys, gals and kids who are on Christ-follower’s winning side will hold over Satan’s losing side.
