“Nothing can heal your wound; your injury is fatal. Everyone who hears the news about you claps his hands at your fall, for who has not felt your endless cruelty?”
– Nahum 3:19

Hi James and Ellen,

How many opportunities do you think that God has preprogrammed a country’s ruling leadership to change how it abuses its citizenry before He will . . . what do you think that life is like today for a kid who is living with his dad and/or ma in a country like North Korea – a country that is becoming more and more isolated from the rest of the world while its leaders are perfecting a nuclear bomb, or in a country like Haiti – a country that is now killing their voodoo priests for a devastating cholera outbreak while its leaders are doing infighting in hopes of becoming the country’s top dog, or in a country like South Africa – a country that is having its populace decimated by AIDS while its leaders seem to be ignoring the elephant in the room? How would you like to be living today in countries like Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan where it is not uncommon for a suicide bomber to detonate a bomb – that he or she has strapped on to his or her body, in a marketplace where you regularly go to to buy bread, vegetables, fruit, meat and other foodstuff to eat for the day? How would you like to be living today in countries such as Cuba and Iran where – because your country’s President’s self-absorption, trade blockades have been imposed by other countries to keep you from getting the food supplies that you might need to survive? How would you like to be living today in a country like Israel where you are innately detested by your neighboring countries as well as by a growing number of guys and gals who have been embedded everywhere on planet Earth? Why do you think that God has blessed the United States with the prosperity that guys and gals who have lived and who are living in the United States today have been generally experiencing ever since the United States was founded? Do you think that God has been in recent years slowly withdrawing the blessing that He blessed the United States with when He saw to the founding of the United States in 1776 A.D.? How do you think that the legal judgment that was made not that long ago by the United States Supreme Court that decided that a fetus is just a disease and that if the carrier of the fetus wants to eradicate her disease, that she can and which determined that reading a Bible and praying in a school violates the need to separate religion from anything secular so that kids who have no religious inclinations will not be offended by the kids who feel strongly about their religiosity are part of God’s unfolding perfect will?

Nineveh was an Assyrian city. Nineveh’s emergence as a growing, active city was around 1800 B.C. About 1100 years later and under Sennacherib – who ruled at this time as king over the guys and gals who were living in the country of Assyria, the city of Nineveh became a major trade center. About the time that Sennacherib elevated a corrupt, degenerate city of Nineveh into becoming a player in the existing world, God sent a whimpering whiner to the city of Nineveh to induce the guys and gals who lived in the city Nineveh to change their ways or . . . the guy’s name was Jonah. The guys and gals who were living in the city of Nineveh stopped being deceptive and immoral which led God to not destroy the city of Nineveh – much to Jonah’s chagrin. Less than 100 years later, the guys and gals who were living in the city of Nineveh were back to acting out wickedly and dissipatedly. Nahum – who was one of God’s minor prophets at this time, had God – as God the Spirit, breathe on him a short letter which he passed on to the leaders in the city of Nineveh. Nahum 3 concludes God’s condemnations against the city of Nineveh. The city of Nineveh had returned to being a city of blood, a city of lies, a city of plunder and a city of victims. The sounds of cracking whips, clattering wheels, galloping horses, jolting chariots, and charging cavalry were heard unremittingly on the city of Nineveh’s streets. The sights of glittering spears, flashing swords, casualties, piles of dead guys and gals and guys and gals stumbling over an uncountable number of corpses were constantly seen on the city of Nineveh’s streets. How the city of Nineveh massacred her conquered rivals became well known throughout the settled land. Assyrian army troops built a reputation of committing ruthless and brutal atrocities. Assyrian armed forces used beheading, impaling and burning their captured foes to instill fear. Historical accounts have an Assyrian king – Shalmaneser III, building a pyramid of chopped-off heads in front of an enemy city. Other Assyrian kings stacked corpses up like cordwood in front of cities that they had defeated.

It makes sense to your grandpaa why God preprogrammed events which would bring about the removal of despotic dictators like Hitler and Sadam Hussein. These guys thought absolutely nothing of purging people groups who they did not like from their population mixes. It makes sense to your grandpaa why God would literally shake the ground under the country of Haiti resulting in the deaths of over 200,000 guys, gals and kids. Haitian guys and gals have been for hundreds of years subjugated to voodoo versus being offered the opportunity to acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Verse 19 is God’s final verdict for the city of Nineveh, “Nothing can heal your wound; your injury is fatal. Everyone who hears the news about you claps his hands at your fall, for who has not felt your endless cruelty?” The city of Nineveh by 612 B.C. no longer existed. What do you think that God is going to do to the United States for defiling Him? Your grandpaa believes that God will send a ‘Jonah’ one day soon and . . .
