Hi James and Ellen,

1 Chronicles is the first half of an historical chronicle. The Chronicles Book editor – who many think is Ezra, completed his Israelite people group specific treatise probably somewhere around 450 B.C. The Chronicles Book was divided around 150 B.C. into two books. The divided Chronicles Book composition are the last books of the Hebrew Old Testament canon. A church father – whose name was Jerome, penned around 400 A.D. the moniker ‘chronicles’ to the last two books of the Hebrew Old Testament canon. Chronicles in Hebrew means ‘the affairs of the days or of the years’. The Chronicles Book’s theological theme is that absolute obedience to God’s life mandates will lead to divine blessings. Whoever the guy was who scribed the Chronicles Book may have been on a personal crusade to have the Israelite people groups guys, gals and kids who had been allowed to return to their family homes in the city Jerusalem – after having been exiled in the country of Babylonia, to once again wholeheartedly conform their lives to the Law of Moses or the Torah. The Law of Moses – which God gave to His specially chosen guys and gals – who are the Israelite people group guys and gals, at Mount Sinai – through Moses, not long after God – using His omnipotence, had His specially chosen guys, gals and kids leave the country of Egypt to go to a land area that was called Canaan – which was their mother country – the country of their patriarchs – who were Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, that God told them that they would always have to live in as their very own land if . . . is comprised of moral, social, food and purity laws, directions for feasts, making sacrifices and giving offerings and instructions for the Levi tribal clan priests regarding their delegated duties and tasks in the tabernacle. The guy who scribed the Chronicles Book earnestly desired that his people group of guys and gals – the Israelite people group of guys and gals, to go back to going to the temple that was in the city of Jerusalem to worship God. The guy who scribed the Chronicles Book scribed about the importance of rebuilding of the temple that was in the city of Jerusalem, the moving of the Ark of the Covenant to the city of Jerusalem and the Levi tribal clan guys responsibilities and the temple choir’s role in the temple of God that was in the city of Jerusalem.

Whoever the guy was who scribed the Chronicles Book was not interested in recounting the foibles of the guys who were appointed or assigned by God to be kings over His specially chosen guys and gals. Whoever the guy was who scribed the Chronicles Book had to have access to or in his possession documents – such as the Torah, along with archived data – such as each Israelite people group tribal clan census specific information. Whoever the guy was who scribed the Chronicles Book began his treatise by reintroducing to Israelite people group guys and gals the names of their patriarchs – beginning with Adams, quickly passing through a list of names until he got to Noah – at which time he listed Noah’s descendants, then continuing with Abraham and Abraham’s descendants followed by Jacob – who God renamed Israel, and Jacob’s twelve descendants – beginning with the fourth kid – who was Judah, who was born to Jacob and Leah, Judah and his descendants, followed by Simeon and his descendants, Reuben and his descendants, Gad and his descendants, Manasseh and his descendants, Levi and his descendants, Issachar and his descendants, Benjamin and his descendants, Naphtali and his descendants. Ephraim and his descendants and Asher his descendants. The guy then jumps from the death of Saul – who was the Israelite people group’s first anointed and positioned king to David becoming the Israelite people group’s second anointed and positioned king. The guy spends a lot of time visiting some of the things that David took on such as making the city of Jerusalem his power base, seeing to the bringing the Ark of the Covenant to the city of Jerusalem, his conquests, his unauthorized census to find out how many available soldiers he had, his ensuring that everything was in place for the temple of God to be built in the city of Jerusalem, his creating an administrative structure to oversee the ruling of his expanding kingdom and his having succession in place for when he died. Whoever the guy was who wrote the Chronicles Book conveys having a lot of respect for David as a man of God who usually did things for God’s sake.

Your grandpaa received yesterday another mass e-mail. The e-mail was not unusual. Your grandpaa has gotten over the past years a number of random e-mails that have been written documenting how the political leanings of the President of the United States are not in line with the United States constitution – which was written through God’s divine intervention so that He would always be worshipped. Instead of the President of the United States using his position to buttress the United States constitution, he is to a lot of United States citizens – including your grandpaa, intentionally thumbing his nose at the United States constitution by acquiescing to belief tenants that guys and gals who are Muslims adhere to – that a man dreamed up, and which dishonors God, by only going to church services as a political ploy for being reelected and by cavorting with guys and gals who mock Christ-follower guys and gals. When David was king and God was esteemed, there were good times in the land of Israel. The hard times that a lot of United States citizens are now experiencing may be because God is not esteemed by the United States President.
