“I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life, then you will know that I am the LORD.”
– Ezekiel 37:6
Hi James and Ellen,
What does prophesy mean to you? Have you ever prophesied? Do you know a guy who prophesies? Ezekiel prophesied. God – as God the Father, chose Ezekiel to be a spokesman for Him to the Israelite people group guys and gals – who are God’s specially chosen guys and gals, before they became and then after they became exiles in Mesopotamia. Before what Ezekiel wrote in what is now Ezekiel 37, Ezekiel had God give him the unenviable task of passing on judgment reprimands to His specially chosen guys and gals who were living in the land area of Judah and in the city of Jerusalem. After God’s dire forewarnings – which He had Ezekiel pass on to His specially chosen guys and gals, were ignored, God had Nebuchadnezzar and his mighty Babylonian army ravage the land of Judah, pillage the city of Jerusalem and carriage a lot of the Israelite people groups guys, gals and kids who had not died from or killed by any of the horrendous distresses that God meted out on the guys, gals and kids who were living in the city of Jerusalem, to the country of Babylonia. After God had His calamitous warnings – which He used Ezekiel to pass on to His specially chosen guys and gals, disregarded, Ezekiel had God give him the enviable assignment of passing on an optimistic communiqué of hope to God’s specially chosen guys and gals who were now exiles in the country of Babylonia. The message of hope that God had Ezekiel pass on to tell His specially chosen guys and gals was given to Ezekiel by God – as God the Spirit, as a metaphysical vision. Ezekiel was supernaturally transported in a transcendental vision by God – as God the Spirit, to a valley that was filled with weathered bones. Ezekiel was told by God to prophesy to the dry bones. God told Ezekiel to tell the dry bones to listen to the Lord’s words. God told Ezekiel to tell the dry bones what is now verse 6, “I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life, then you will know that I am the LORD.’”” As Ezekiel saw himself doing what God told him to do in this God – as God the Spirit, driven vision, Ezekiel began to hear the rattling sound of dry bones coming together and then he saw tendons, flesh and skin covering the bones. When Ezekiel called for breath to show up from the four winds – just as God – as God the Spirt, told him to say it, Ezekiel saw a vast army of God’s specially chosen guys come back to life on planet Earth ready to take on whatever it was or is that God had or has in His preordained plan for them to do.
What Ezekiel interactively internalized in the dry bones vision that God – as God the Spirit, gave him was the reuniting of the Israelite people group northern tribal clans – which were led by the Ephraim tribal clan representing Joseph, and the Israelite people group southern tribal clans – which were led by the Judah tribal clan representing David, into a holy force that will no longer be corrupted and defiled from worshipping manmade vile images and revering false gods that have been handmade from wood, stone, clay and metal. God instructed Ezekiel do this by writing on two sticks a specific phrase with each stick representing the split that took place decades earlier between the twelve Israelite people group tribal clans. God then told Ezekiel to put the two sticks into one of his hands. When Ezekiel put the two sticks in one of his hands, the two sticks became one stick. God – through Ezekiel, showed that He will one day bring His specially chosen guys and gals – the Israelite people group guys and gals, back together again into a single, united nation of God-followers who will once again be blessed to live in the land area that God had given to them one time before to always to have to live in as their very own land if . . . God – as God the Spirit, had Ezekiel see God – as God the Father, in the vision that He was giving him ascribing to David the kingship position over the reunited twelve Israelite people group tribal clans. David here is a figurative description of Jesus. God – as God the Father, had Ezekiel prophesy that there will be a time when all His specially chosen guys and gals will go back to the land that He had given them to always to have to live in as their very own land if . . . with Jesus being the recognized leader of this people group who God – as God the Father, chose to be His specially chosen guys and gals. This prophesy using dry bones that was given to Ezekiel by God – as God the Spirit, affirmed to the Israelites people groups guys and gals who were living as exiles in the land of Babylonia that they will one day be able to return to the land that God gave them to always to have to live in as their very own land has probably taken place. God’s specially chosen guys and gals – the Israelite people group guys and gals, are now entrenched in their land – which is known as Israel. Ezekiel’s God – as God the Spirit, driven prophesy that a future David will arrive to be the ‘king’ over all of God’s specially chosen guys and gals took place when Jesus Christ was born to establish a new belief paradigm for every guy, gal and kid who will make a decision of faith to believe in Him.
Your grandmaa and grandpaa are now missionaries with Adventures in Missions. Adventures in Missions leadership believes that the manifestation gifts are active today. It is not unusual for a guy or gal associated with Adventures in Missions to ‘prophesy’ what the future holds for another guy or gal. Your grandpaa believes that a Holy Spirit empowered manifestation gift may be manifested in an appropriate moment but . . . what do you think?
